Transport and Storage Equipment

Silos
Manufactured with special tooling and high precision, silo components are fully prepared after primer and topcoat application in fully automated paint cabins, then packaged to prevent any shipping damage and dispatched to the most distant locations worldwide. Cement silos can optionally be equipped with maximum/minimum cement-level indicators, silo filters, pressure-relief valves, air-knocker systems and pinch valves.
The main purpose of cement silos is storage; their dimensions and construction styles vary with capacity. Depending on customer requirements, they may be supplied as bolted (sectional) or fully welded units. Bolted silos offer significant advantages for long-distance transport but can introduce sealing disadvantages. Welded silos may be welded at the supplier's factory or have their final welding completed at the installation site.
Cement silos require various accessories alongside their storage role. First and foremost is the storage and discharge of the product. Traditional bucket elevators or screw conveyors are preferred for silo feeding, while screw conveyors can be used for discharge. For safe product discharge — especially with light, dust-prone materials — rotary cell wheels (airlock valves) may be used as an additional safety device.
Level sensors for product-level control, inspection covers for intervention, and air-knockers to prevent blockages can be installed on the silos.
