Chromite Ore Beneficiation
Magnetic chromite beneficiation plants rely on separating magnetically susceptible chromite from impurities of differing or no magnetic susceptibility.
Run-of-mine chromite ore is crushed, screened and ground to the liberation particle size and then beneficiated in the process at various magnetic-field strengths and stages to remove unwanted materials. Tailings purification follows the same multi-stage magnetic process.
Beneficiating products at the appropriate particle size and applying combined methods (gravity, chemical, etc.) requires extensive mineralogical R&D and academic work. The project scope for delivering ship-ready product covers engineering, design, civil works, manufacturing, equipment/material supply, automation, plant erection, commissioning, performance testing and training.
