Proud Project by the BAS Team: Turkey’s Largest Overband Metal Detector Manufactured

The BAS Team, a pioneer in industrial metal separation and detection systems, has once again proven its engineering excellence by successfully manufacturing Turkey’s largest overband metal detector. The new generation BMD 2 Metal Detector stands out not only as the largest in Turkey but also as one of the largest conveyor metal detectors in the world.

Featuring advanced technology and a colossal structure, the BMD 2 is specially designed to maximize the safety and efficiency of heavy industrial facilities.

Massive Dimensions and Superior Performance Designed specifically for a 2800 mm belt width application, this massive detection system measures 3 meters in width and 80 cm in height. With these impressive dimensions, it is a rare engineering marvel in the overband metal detector market and is currently preparing for dispatch to a major environmental project in Europe.

Protecting Incinerators in a European RDF Facility Scheduled to be commissioned very soon, the detector will operate in a large-scale RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) plant in Europe. Positioned at one of the facility's most critical stages, the system is designed to trigger an immediate alarm upon detecting any unwanted metals in the material flow.

Acting as the final safety barrier before the crushed material enters the incinerator, the BMD 2 will protect the furnace from severe damage and prevent costly production downtime.

Integrated Operation for Maximum System Safety BAS engineering has established a fully integrated safety line based on a zero-defect principle. As one of the world's largest metal detectors, this system will work in tandem with, and be positioned directly after, the BAS MBS Series Permanent Type Metal Separator, ensuring flawless system safety throughout the process.
