BAS electromagnetic separators and eddy current separators have been selected for the largest aluminum processing facility in the Middle East. With the region’s highest capacity for aluminum scrap and profile processing, the plant is designed to handle 80 tons of scrap per hour and operate 24/7 without interruption.
Within the facility, aluminum inputs ranging from 100 mm to 1 mm will be classified to achieve up to 95% purity. BAS’s state-of-the-art eddy current separators, available in 800 mm and 1600 mm belt widths, combine both high- and low-frequency systems for optimal separation efficiency. Thanks to combined-type eddy current separators, even ferrous metals that might escape over-belt magnetic separators can be re-separated with precision.
A total of six units featuring 12- and 48-pole high-frequency BAS-ECS-EC series equipment will be utilized in the plant. This investment sets a new benchmark in the region for efficiency and purity in aluminum recycling processes.
